The Robust Feed AVS, with its ergonomic, robust and enclosed design. It is their best selling ESAB wire feeder and the ideal partner whenever portability and durability are key. Equipped with a new precision wire drive system with enough power to handle up to 2.0 mm solid wire and 2.4 mm cored wire. It is the perfect partner to various ESAB equipment, including the Warrior 400 and 500.

PORTABILITY.

Robust Feed AVS has three comfortable handles (all are crane certified) and two additional lifting points for best-in-class portability and maneuverability, making it easy to lift and carry through confined spaces and around obstacles.

Rounded edges and special high durability wear surfaces let you drag it anywhere without catching on other objects. The optional flat and vertical wheel kits and trolley integration allow for even greater mobility. The new design can handle power source cables up to 90 metres long. You will always get to where you need to weld – in the shop or the field.

PERFORMANCE.

The new precisely crafted aluminium drive stand feeds solid wire up to 2.0mm and cored up to 2.4mm at speeds of 0.8–25.0m/min. When changing the spool, you can feed the new wire without opening the drive stand. When it comes to power, Robust Feed Pro – OS easily handles 550A at 50% duty cycle, 500A at 60% duty cycle, and 400 A at 100%, enabling productivity that few other portable feeders can.

CONVENIENCE.

Innovative Convenience with storage slots for extra drive rolls, wire guides and contact tips inside the lid so you can change between wire sizes easily. Drive rolls are colour coded making it easy to match the rollers when fitting. Wire guides have a yellow colour coded release clamp and tab so they are easily removed and replaced without requiring any tools at all.

Protection.

The ESAB Robust Feed AVS has an IP44 protection rating. Featuring a completely-sealed wire feed compartment that protects the wire and internal components from water splashes in all directions. The seal also keeps out dirt, grinding dust and other particles than can damage feeder components or degrade the wire and contaminate the weld pool.

The controls, as well as the power and gas cable connections, are also protected inside the housing. On the outside, the feeder uses a double-wall design that has special zones to provide abrasion and impact resistance. A reliable strain relief removes cable stress.
